The Cuban #2 (also called The Bacardi Cocktail) was created sometime around 1917 in Cuba. There are two different ideas about this drink and its ingredients. The first is that this drink originally DID NOT contain any Grenadine and was simply a Daiquiri made with Bacardi. The Grenadine was said to have been added sometime during prohibition when it emerged in New York City. Some people say that the Grenadine has always been in the drink from its inception&nbsp;Bartender Tip:You can make a little twist, mixing not only Rum with grenadine, use only 30 ml Rum and add 30 ml of your favorite gin or different Rum to increase the botanicals inside.

Prepare your cherry ready for garnishing and lime ready for squeezing

Prepare

Fill both your glass and shaker with cubed ice

Ice scoop

Martini glass

Shaker

Pour all the ingredients into your shaker

Jigger

Mexican Elbow Juicer

Light Rum

Lime Juice

Grenadine

Add Ingredients

Close the shaker and shake hard for 7 seconds

Shake

Empty the ice from your martini glass back into the ice bucket.  Take off the small top off the shaker and strain out the mix into the martini glass
