Adrian Michalcik – Cocktail Club Industry Expert and founder
Adrian Michalcik is an award-winning bartender, bar developer and hospitality educator, and one of the leading figures in modern cocktail culture. As a Cocktail Club Industry Expert, he brings world-class experience in bar operations, concept development and staff training to the Cocktail Club platform.
Originally from former Czechoslovakia, Adrian began his journey in Prague, where he quickly made a name for himself on the competition scene. In 2016, he was crowned Czech World Class Bartender of the Year, marking the start of an international career in mixology.
The last years he has been based in Norway, where he has become a central figure in the bar industry. Adrian has been awarded Best Bartender of Norway in 2021, 2022 and 2023, as well as Industry Personality of the Year 2023. Under his leadership, Pier 42 in Oslo was named Best Bar in Norway twice, in addition to being featured on 50 Best Discoveryand as a regional Top 10 honoree at Tales of the Cocktail.
The highlight of Adrian’s career came in 2022, when he won Diageo World Class Norway and went on to be named Global World Class Bartender of the Year 2022 at the global finals in Sydney – one of the highest honours in the cocktail world.
Today, Adrian is the Founder of About Contrasts, a high-end cocktail bar in Oslo, as well as a developer for Generous Cocktails and consultant through Adrian Michalcik Mixology Company. His style is rooted in sophisticated simplicity, with a strong focus on flavour, guest experience and precision.
