The Frozen Watermelon Margarita Cocktail
Frozen margaritas were first served in La Jolla, when Albert Hernandez Sr. stopped using crushed ice and instead combined the ingredients in a blender in 1947. The dedicated frozen margarita machine was introduced by Mariano Martinez in Dallas in 1971. This new variation with watermelon gives us a sweeter tone when drinking it, as well as a much more tempting color to look at.
Bartender Tip:
One detail to take into account in this refreshing cocktail is to be patient and take the seeds out of the shake because if we blend them we can add some bitter and astringent tones to our drink and they are not desired.
