The Melon Ball most likely has roots in the 1970s. It was during that equally gaudy era that Midori made its U.S. Studio 54 probably served at least one drink to nearly every famous name of the era that you can think of.

Also known simply as a Melon Baller, this chilly cocktail is filled with the taste of summer, but you can drink it anytime you like. Try with pineapple juice instead of orange juice, the pineapple really highlights the bright, sweet flavor of the melon
