HOTEL AIGUACLARA
50 minutes by car north of Barcelona, lies a hidden gem worth visiting. Begur is a medieval town with striking architecture influenced by returning Cuban settlers and plantation owners.
The town can boast of more than 50 restaurants of all standards and some pretty good cocktail bars are also worth visiting.
Our favorite hotel is the Aiguaclara, a family-run hotel with a truckload of charm and generous hospitality. The owners, Clara and Joan have made this 10 room boutique hotel into a destination worth staying in. The atmosphere gives the guests calmness and serenity as they wander around in a former colonial-style mansion.
The restaurant offers local produce and the fresh fish of the day. This restaurant can cater for all our needs as the cocktails served from the bar are worth exploring before and after dinner. Even the DJ with his classic soul vinyl´s will make you want to stay late and enjoy the atmosphere. No wonder this hotel is top-ranked in the region.
Second, on our list of noteworthy places to visit, is the cocktail bar called C-Roack. The garden-based bar creates a unique setting to enjoy a cocktail or four in..
Begur will always be a gem of the Costa Brava where we want to go back
